I'm overjoyed with the photographs from Chad + Emily's engagement session!

Shortly before their session, Chad, Emily, and I met to review for their session. We discussed location, mood/style (casual vs. formal), and the end goal of their portraits. This was so helpful to me as their photographer, since it gave me a roadmap to the desired destination with their photographs. (Yay for linear thinking!)

Since they plan to marry at the end of the year, speed was important. We settled for early June. Thankfully, June was pretty mild temperature-wise this year. Oh, the struggles of photography during a central Texas summer. Totally worth it!

Chad and Emily saw some photos I'd taken at Bull Creek before and they really loved the combination of nature and the urban overpass. My go-to spot at Bull Creek was crowded with summer-time swimmers, but we were able to explore the section of the creek above it and got some great shots!

Chad and Emily mastered the slippery creek bed like pros!

I'm looking forward to what these two have planned for this session. Stay tuned!
