It seems like most portrait sessions have a little adventure attached to them, and is one definitely qualifies! The Jennings family had long wanted bluebonnet pictures and we were able to schedule during the small window of time they had in the Austin area during blooming season.
Enter frigid cold front! Katie Jennings and I had been texting about the expected cooler weather, but given the time constraints we decided to go ahead and try to photograph. But then Saturday happened and it was 40°F! Katie decided it would be better to wait, a decision I heartily seconded!
So we ended up photographing on Sunday evening in basically perfect weather. Sunny, breezy, and so mild. A vast improvement on what would have been a frigid Saturday shoot.
I was also had the privilege of taking some maternity portraits for Katie. She's due any day now with their sixth little one.
