After last week's visit to the Capitol, I really mustn't take living in the state capital for granted! This was my first visit in at least five years; I haven't been since I started photography in 2012.
While my ultimate purpose was photographing my brother's choir as they performed in the rotunda, I snuck in some photos before they arrived.
I love old buildings in general, but the Capitol is wonderful. There's a certain . . . hallowed quality about it. Even the noisy school groups and metal detectors couldn't detract from it.
