To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to location scouting for my spring mini sessions.
I had photographed at Champion Park before, but that was 18 months previously. Since it had been so long, not to mention the difference in season (fall versus spring) and the fact that I'm detail-oriented (and a bit of a type-a control freak), I decided the smart thing to do was location scout.
I'm so glad I visited! Instead of my planned 15 minutes minutes rushing through shot plans and getting back home, I spent about an hour enjoying the golden hour and the landscape. And being wary of potential snakes in the grass.
Here are my favorite images from that evening.
