I love photographing dancers and Caroline was no exception. Posing is almost effortless when dancers and performers have such an awareness of how their bodies appear and behave. It’s easy to make beautiful and exciting images.

After an extremely wet autumn, I was so thrilled we had sunshine for Caroline’s portrait session. We couldn’t have asked for better weather!

Our first location was Caroline’s church in Georgetown. This magnificent building was constructed in 1892-93 and we were able to incorporated the beautiful stained glass and architecture in Caroline’s photos. I was so happy to photograph Caroline in a place that holds such an important place in her life.

We next moved down the street a short way to Southwestern University. We only used this athletic field, but the campus is gorgeous and I’d love to come back for future sessions.

We made sure to save plenty of time for Blue Hole! This spot was lovely and the main reason I was so glad for clear skies - overcast weather wouldn’t have done it full justice.. We photographed here through a golden half hour and into sunset. Caroline’s dress was perfect for the setting and I’m so pleased with how these images turned out.

Congratulations, Caroline, and thank you for the opportunity to photograph you senior photos!
