Photographer achievement unlocked: out-of-town clients!
(It still counts if they're my cousins, right?)
Doug and Diane decided to combine family photos with a weekend in Austin, so Diane contacted me and was able to nab my last autumn mini session. I'm always happy when clients contact me to book, but there's definitely an extra magic when they're traveling into town for their session!
We photographed at one of my favorite locations: Bull Creek. This spot just has so much variety in one place. When I photograph, I shoot for an assortment (see what I did there?). I don't want every photo in a family session to look the same, whether that's because poses are too similar or there isn't enough variety in the location. So Bull Creek is amazing in that there are so many options all located in one spot. It's ideal for mini sessions.
Doug and Diane's oldest is a precocious and intelligent little fellow who loves music. As for Mr. Blue Eyes, eight months old and he's already had his first haircut!
